Art Through An Education Lens
29th April 2022, Delhi
ADEA in collaboration KNMA and Kriti Sood of LAND (Learning through Arts, Narrative and Discourse) conducted an event for Art Educators in Delhi on 29th April 2022.
We started off with a specially curated tour of two very special exhibits at Kiran Nadar Museum of Art (KNMA). Art educators had the opportunity to view the works of – K Ramanujam’s Mythopoetic Universe and Atul Dodiya’s Walking With the Waves.
KNMA attempts to present how Ramanujam’s deep wounds and intense passion for the world around him peopled his solitude and art.
Atul Dodiya’s work is an Exploration of the world outside, one which is rooted in the real, yet silently allowing the fantastic to enter the image-scape.
The morning session was concluded with an art activity based on Atul Dodiya’s work through the years. This activity provided both an insight into Dodiya’s progression as an artist and ideas on how to replicate this activity in one’s classroom.
The event carried on to India Art Fair in the afternoon where Kriti Sood, the Founder and Director of LAND provided IADEA members with special passes to visit the exhibition on the opening day. In addition to Sood’s guided walk through and art worksheets, IADEA members had the chance to interact with our knowledge partners like Delhi Art Gallery, Chennai Photo Biennale, Vadehra Art Gallery and more, who were exhibiting at the event.
