The IADEA Presents the ‘Camlin Art Teacher Excellence Awards’.

The Camlin Art teacher excellence awards celebrates teachers who have put a lot of effort into creating thoughtfully designed art lessons. 85+ unique art lessons were submitted by art teachers across India. Reputed judges Nigel Meager, Artist, Author and Educator Cambridge, Siddhi Gupta, Faculty, Creative Education, Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Bengaluru, and Sandhya Gopinath Educator, Co-Founder of IADEA, ranked the art projects under a rigorous selection process.
Best Use of Elements of Art:
Recognizing creative projects that effectively incorporate the fundamental building blocks of art and design. These projects should showcase a strong understanding and use of line, shape, form, colour, value, texture and space.
Winner – Deepti Karthik, Sarvam The Organic School, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu

Runner up – Vijayaraghavan Srinivasan, KC High School Chennai

Collaboration in the Art Room:
Honoring projects that bring students together to foster teamwork and collective creativity. Collaborative projects might involve large-scale murals, group installations, or interdisciplinary initiatives that unite students around a common theme or goal, promoting community and mutual respect.

Innovation in the Art Room:
Celebrating teachers who have introduced unique, forward-thinking ideas into their lessons. These projects may include experimenting with unconventional materials, integrating technology into the creative process, or devising groundbreaking ways to engage students in art.

Runner up – Prem Nazir, Lakshmi School, Madurai

Instilling Creative Confidence:
Acknowledging initiatives that empower students to embrace their unique artistic voice. These projects inspire students to take risks, trust their instincts, and confidently navigate challenges, helping them build resilience and a strong sense of artistic identity.

Runner up – Gayathri Vasu, Independent Art Educator, Chennai

Promoting Artistic Process:
Highlighting educators who focus on the journey of creating art rather than just the final product. These projects emphasize ideation, experimentation, and discovery, encouraging students to explore their creativity, take risks, and learn through trial and error.
