IADEA conducted our third event this year an Art Teachers workshop in association with our Knowledge partners Dakshina Chitra Museum on 7th December Friday from 10am to 2pm. The theme of the workshop was introducing Folk Art in the classroom.

We had a wonderful learning experience. 25 teachers from various schools participated. The event started with a presentation on the steps to Critiquing Folk art in the classroom. This was followed by a curated walk through the Kalamkari Gallery and guided tours of two of the traditional houses at the museum. The highlight was the hands-on workshop conducted by Master Crafts people on Palm Leaf origami and Pattachitra.

The workshop ended on a high note with a delicious lunch during which the participants got a chance to chat with each other and make friends.
