The IADEA Annual Conference – 2021
Indian Art and Design Educators Association (IADEA) is happy to present the 4th Annual Art Educators Conference, 2021.
IADEA is a non-profit started in 2018 with the goal of providing continuous professional development opportunities for art educators across the country. The Annual Conference, our flagship event was first held at the Piramal Museum of Art, Mumbai and then at the India International Center, Delhi, before it morphed into a virtual conference last year.
During the pandemic our teacher members shared with us that they need quality art lessons that have been tested in an Indian school context. To address this need we invited our members and knowledge partners to share their favourite original lessons and had an overwhelming response. ArtroomHero.com a free virtual lesson library emerged with 250 art lessons and growing. Our in-house team quality checks each lesson, categorises it and adds it to the ever growing community library. Everyone of our 60 lesson authors whether an individual teacher or a large museum is tagged with the lesson and has a profile page on the site.
This year we will host our biggest knowledge sharing event ever – a curated series 6 virtual workshops by lesson authors from ArtRoomHero. Our speakers will join us on zoom from India and abroad. The sessions will take place from 17th November to 2nd December, every Wednesday and Thursday from 5:00pm to 6:00pm.
