Dr.Nigel Meager’s session was all about hope, thinking, dreaming and ended with a ‘Future World Challenge’. Teachers were encouraged to structure their journey with imaginative questions for the future like: How will humans live/work/play/travel? Along with philosophical and political ideas to stimulate deeper thinking: What will governments look like? These categories were broken down further. If you haven’t done this activity, follow the steps from Dr. Nigel’s presentation here and share your artwork with us. Meanwhile, do take a look at what others have shared.
Jigyasa Labroo’s ‘Activity to Experience’ was very popular. It asked us to reflect on gratitude, take a deep breath, close our eyes momentarily and think about what we are grateful for? We were then guided to select the most used objects during quarantine that fit in our hands. Using colour pencils, paint, pens and more art educators traced the objects to create overlapping line drawings of these objects onto A4 sheets. Everyone could paint, add textures or patterns to their work. Take a look at our innovative creations!
