IADEA presents India’s First Art and Design Educators’ Conference: Create Change!
This unique conference to be held in Mumbai will be open to art educators at both school and college levels will feature an eclectic programme with renowned artists and arts educators.
In a first-of-its-kind conference in India, the Indian Art and Design Educators Association (IADEA) brings you ’Create Change’ – a creativity conference especially designed to meet the needs of modern education curricula that place high emphasis on creativity and innovation. Scheduled to take place at the Piramal Art Museum, Lower Parel – Mumbai, on the 15th and 16th of February, 2018, is open to anyone who teaches art including art teachers at school and college levels, art teachers working outside the school system, and academic coordinators or school management interested in bringing creativity into their schools.
The conference will also feature speaker sessions multiple hands-on workshops and skill enhancement sessions, ready-to-apply curriculum, lesson plans and worksheets, and teaching arts award presentations. Speakers include renowned figures from the art world, including Nilanjana Nandi – Artist, Art Educator; Harry Hancock – Portrait Painter and Performance Artist, Art Educator; Ashvin Rajagopalan – Director, Piramal Art Foundation; Maya Thiagarajan – Educator and Author; Vidya Shivadas – Director, Foundation for Indian Contemporary Art; and Gita Wolf – Publisher, Tara Books, among others….
